Barrie Draper’s “Glenpadden” team had another of the family join the winning circle at Sheffield on Tuesday.
Eight of the ten siblings of the May 2013 litter by Ace Hi Rumble and Glen Padden Bay had already chalked up victories and Glenpadden Ace became the ninth as he recovered the losses incurred when he was a beaten favourite on his debut at Hove a week ago in the Maiden 500, producing a strong finish to get home by a length from Miss The Flight in a very decent 29.06 for the 500 metres.
It was a good night all round for Team Draper as Lostrigg Ace and Heavens Miracle both broke their ducks in this country in the first two maiden opens and Droopys Gonza rediscovered winning ways in the stayers’ contest.
