Ante post favourite Newinn Shadow (Kinloch Brae-Newinn Expert, Dec 14) maintained his record of ‘fastest qualifier’ when landing his semi final of the Peterborough Puppy Derby. Seamus Cahill’s wide runner (4-5f) clocked 26.20 when beating Holdem Rio by two and a half lengths in 26.20 (-40) for the 435m.
The other qualifiers went to evens favourite Droopys Country (Aero Majestic-Droopys Coast, Aug 14), who beat Savana Lord by a length and a half in 26.41 and locally trained 5-2 chance Ballymac Macole (Aero Ardiles-Goodbye Mary, Sep 14) who beat Dranoel by two and a half lengths in 26.43 (-40).
