Fivestar Clipper extended his winning sequence to eight with victory in a ‘cat 1 class’ minor open at Romford of Friday.
Derek Knight’s 4-6f covered the 575m in 35.09 (N). Second was the last dog to beat him, Millwards Master, who won a Coronation Cup semi final where Clipper was KO’d. Friday’s field also included Swift Whirlwind and Farley Rio.
Earlier on the same card Evanta Fantasy (Vans Escalade-Zaras Fantasy, Sep 12) won her 22nd race over course and distance with a 23.92 victory in a £500 sweepstake final.
