The two superstars of Irish racing both ‘turned up’ at Shelbourne on Saturday with Bockos Diamond reminding racegoers why he is the no.1 middle distance runner in Irish racing by equalling his own Shelbourne 550 track record.
As expected – or even demanded – Droopys Kathleen won the Puppy Oaks Final though by her standards a mere three lengths in 28.05!
That took her average winning margin down to eight lengths in each of her five races though it was comfortably the fastest 525 of the week. Almost to be expected of a superstar really!
Imokilly Spice was mentioned last week following her 17.67 win at Dumbo which was the fourth quickest sprint of the year. Well she has won again, this time in a joint fastest time of 17.60.
Only one meeting at Enniscorthy this week but the quickest 525 winner was also the quickest in Rubys Trinity with a 28.79 run in just her fourth race. A half sister to Champion Stakes winner Trinity Junior and prolific Sheffield winner Youmeanirene, definitely one for the note book.
