Then there were six

All eyes were on Shelbourne Park on Saturday night for the semi finals of the Boylesports Irish Derby.

The first semi final featured the unbeaten ante post favourite Bockos Diamond. . .

It was then down to kennelmate Cheap Sandwiches. . .

So Graham Holland will go double-fisted into next Saturday’s decider with the unbeaten Bockos Diamond seemingly perfectly drawn on the wide outside – not that he seems in any way draw dependent.

He is now the 3/10fav with the sponsors.

The meeting also featured the final of the Irish Gourmet Island Puppy Oaks where the sport’s other great superstar, Droopys Kathleen justified her 1/10fav odds with a three length win in 28.05 for the 525 yards.

Rioja Oisin took three spots off his own Perry Barr 275m track record on Saturday night with a 15.68 run. Kevin Hutton’s Scurry winner has now won his last five races.

Druids Say Go extended her winning sequence to nine on the same card when leading home an ‘Oaks forecast’ from the the ’23 winner Jet Stream Angel.
