Given their huge haul of big race wins over the years, one notable Cat One omission from the Dartnall list of achievements was the Coral Romford Puppy Cup.

All that changed on Friday night when their even money favourite Fire And Ice went to traps as the even money favourite. This is what happened next.

The highlight of the support card was a match race between the multi Cat One winner Links Maverick and Patrick Janssens’ crack sprinter Not So Slow.

Snapper Steve Nash – making his reappearance following a spell on the lame list, was on hand to capture the main events of the night.
