Liz McNair will be double represented in the final of Towcester’s British Bred Derby.
The Kent handler had the favourite for both semi finals and although King Dec failed to overcome a tardy start, he booked his place in the decider when running second to Bang On Giles in 28.53.
The second semi was won emphatically by Dec’s kennelmate King Ally who held off a determined Lowgate Onyx in 28.41 for the 480 metres. The final is due on Thursday.
