Yesterday’s sale at Romford saw 37 of the 46 greyhounds sold for a total of £88,525.

Top lot was Droopys Process which fetched £10,600 after recording 24.26 on his first look at Romford.

Impeccably bred by Droopys Sydney by Queen Lilly, the dark brindle January 23 pup will continue his racing career at Romford with a tilt at the Romford Puppy Cup likely to be on the cards in September.

In the same trial, his litter sister Droopys Zena ran on to finish only 2.75 lengths behind and was sold for £6000 and is destined to become a Bubbly greyhound.

Fastest of the day was Good Rory who scorched round in a very fast 24.03 and was subsequently sold for £7400. The brindle September 22 son of Droopys Sudney out of Billys Diva is destined to remain at Romford.

Nathan Corden said “Hopefully Romford and Entain are happy as 31 of the 37 greyhounds sold will remain at Entain tracks with 25 staying on at Romford.

“Thankfully the Droopys dogs made the sale – without them we could have been looking at another below average sale.”
