Pryce concerned over A Hasty Retreat

With Queen Joni eliminated, King Sydney returns to the front of the ante post betting for the Star Sports & TRC English Greyhound Derby and has been cut from 18/1 to 8/1 in the ante post list with AK Bets.

Odds compliler James Pryce has also priced up the quickest second round invidivual races along with a market for this weekend’s fastest sectionals.

Wimbledon premiere – one afternoon only

On Saturday, the Wimbledon in Sporting History organisation hold their premier of their film celebrating the history of greyhound racing at Wimbledon Stadium. A number of former Wimbledon regulars are expected to attend including ex-Racing Manager Simon Harris and trainer Norah McEllistrim.


Silver Salver line up

Central Park were oversubscribed with 39 entries for the ARC Silver Salver which gets underway on Saturday. The field includes big race winner Broadway Murty (Northamptonshire Sprint), Romeo Crusade (Romford Puppy Cup), Bombout Bullet (National Sprint) and and Romeo Cypher (BGBF Puppy Cup).

Expect plenty of interest too in Hopes Hurricane, trained by Pat Buckley. The Irishman landed the final with his only entry last year, Flashing Willow.
