Bullet quickest on the draw?

Baywatch Bullet can make the most of a favourable draw to land this evening’s Ladbrokes Kent St.Leger Final at Crayford according to Racing Manager Danny Rayment.

Our thanks to Danny for previewing each of the meeting’s 12 opens.

Danny said: “No More Biscuits lacks track experience, the other four are locals and of them, I think Graphics Gallery and Crossfield Breda could have a real ding-dong. Nick Carter’s dog came out on top last time they met and I see no reason why that shouldn’t be repeated.” 4-5-2

Danny said: “On previous form Miss Syd would be well fancied here but she is not coming away. I think Ricky is hoping that she might break better as a wide seed, though that is far from certain. The best drawn in the race is Tony Collett’s Hellofageezer. He went well in trials and should get a decent run on the rails as the rest edge to middle ” 1-6-4

Danny said: “This could be dictated by the draw with five railers and a middle seed. It could be another one for the Collett/Curtis combination. Princess Athena trialled well and if she repeats her 12.98 sectional she could lead all the way. She looked as though the 540 wasn’t quite far enough previously so this should suit her. One More Tune will be running on and looks the danger.” 4-2-6

Danny said: ” A big thanks to First Choice for sponsoring here and they even have a runner in it with a chance in Choices Peggy. For me though, Time To Talk is the interesting one in here. She was diqualified at Hove but did nothing wrong in clearing trials. It is true that she was away and gone and the aim is always to run clearing trials against dogs of similar ability. But when they are doing 23.30, the opposition is hard to find. She did nothing wrong before taking the lead and winning impressively last week.” 4-1-6

Danny said: “Capel Rose and Razldazl Barkley have good form in here but are both back in trip. At his best, Moaning Rossi was a Gold Collar finalist and if he is anywhere near that form could lead all the way for Darren.” 5-2-4

Danny said: “Probably one of the hardest races on the card to call. Based on her form of a few weeks ago, Empress Of Rome would be the one to beat. She may still win it, but I can see Shaz Starlite taking the lead early and maybe just holding on.” 4-1-5

Danny said: “Moaning Viera has run well coming through the graded strength and has enough early pace to clear the field and move across to middle. Moanteen Bono looks interesting. She was disqualified at Sheffield but has completed her clearing trials and could be the danger.” 5-4-2

Danny said: “I think the draw suits Baywatch Bullet who can get a good run on the inside and lead all the way. She was only a length slower than Coonough Crow in the semi finals and that can soon be negated by her leading. The downside is she is now ‘double bokked’ by being my selection for the final as well as Jamie’s ante post selection. Coonough Crow has a very good record here but will not be suited by the draw which is why I think Dazl Rolex is the danger. Ballymac Taylor’s quality goes unquestioned but I though she was a bit laclustre in the semis” 2-6-5

Betting:   Reminder of how they got there

Danny said: “I think Razldazl Amanda will be short in here but I am not convinced with her drawn in trap one. I think Maleficent looks well drawn to lead up and with Droopys Moose inclined to rail on the straights but check at the bends, he may avoid the worst of any crowding.” 3-2-1

Danny said: “Hurdles races aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but this is competitive and hard to call with plenty of experience in there. I’m going for ‘the new girl on the block’ Signet Harper who is now making into a very decent hurdler. She may be helped by having the fabulous Lenson Dooling on her inside. Although he has a fabulous strike rate, he really is a ‘trap three’ dog”. 6-4-5

Danny said: “Similar Display has the ability to win this but seems to have gone a little off the boil. I don’t really see much between the two, three and six but given the draw with an empty trap, I’ll just edge it to Kevinsfort Duke6-2-3

Danny said: “I always love to stage a veterans race at this meeting and thankfully we have managed to fill one, though only just in terms of the ages of most of the field.  Swift Quincey looks the stand-out and cannot be opposed” 1-5-4
