Premier Greyhound Sales Romford Preview (UPDATED)

Unraced dog pup out of Windmill Flower an open class track performer.  Lee has recorded times of 2967 and 2963 at Clonmel in the only four bend trials of his life to date and with improvement to come he looks sure to be competing in decent graded class races before too long.  Nice young pup with all the hard work of rearing and schooling complete and sure to make a welcome addition to his new kennel.

Unraced son of Lamestep who was a regular top grade winner on the track at Kilkenny in a success laden career which included victory in the Superior Product At Stud A2 Stake back in 2019.  Well proven in her litters to date including the likes of Crystal Countess an open race winner at Sheffield , Perry Barr and Oxford amongst her offspring.  Heistoodear has just the sole trial on his card over four bends winning a two dog affair by fully 9 lengths in 2986 around Kilkenny.

A member of the Global Volcano litter whelped on 24^th October 2022 and therefore the youngest pup entered in the sale (along with littermate below).  Anybody who knows their breeding will know that this line won’t be seen to best effect for a long while to come.  Dam Global Volcano an open race winner over 712m at Towcester and a finalist in the big Shelbourne Marathon competition of 2021 is also a full sister to the superstar marathon performer Space Jet so it’s not difficult to see that Buzzard and his comrades will benefit beyond belief for a step up in trip once age and experience allow.  Buzzard has just the one educational trial on his card to date recording 3062 around Tralee.  Even then it was noted by those in attendance at the trial session that all of his best work was done late and to the pick up.  Could be absolutely anything going forward.

Full sister to Buzzard detailed above with very similar comments applying.  Was very much in need of the experience in her sole trial to date and has received extra schooling since.  Will not fail to improve massively over the coming months and is fully expected to manoeuvre her way through the UK graded scene.  Will be well at home at tracks with a tough four bend trip as a minimum and in the future staying trips will be needed of that there is little doubt.

Unraced bitch pup from the maiden litter of UK open and top grade winner Tarastar who of course if a daughter of Silver Dollar making her very closely related to track superstar Roxholme Nidge amongst many other top class performers.  Easy Star has just the one trial on her card to date beating off her only trial rival by 3 lengths in 1815 at Tralee.  Hails from Barry Rock’s Easy kennels who consistently produce the goods for the UK open racing scene and big things are expected from this lady.

Not a mark on the card of this unraced daughter of Beaming Rosie who was a multiple open race winner on the track and has produced some good winners in her maiden litter to Tullymurry Act including Singalong Tully who went unbeaten through the Limerick Stadium Novice Open Stake throughout May 2023.  Very well thought of youngster and again hailing from Easy kennels there will be plenty looking to add this likeable young pup to their kennel string.

Not a single mark on the card of this promising unraced dog pup who has reportedly been schooling well in the hands of the very highly regarded McCusker team.  Dam Bard was a novice open winner in her own right and has proven herself in the breeding paddocks already with some more than decent winners.  Good on the day run expected from this lad but being a September whelp there is plenty left to come.

Stunning fawn bitch who as an October 2022 whelp is one of the youngest in the sale.  Dam Definate Ark is a full sister to Good Cody the track superstar and winner of the Kingdom Derby , National Produce Stakes and Bar One Sprint in 2021 and of course The Irish Laurels in 2022.  Not a mark on Star’s card so her on the day trial will be informative but an interesting sort of that there is no doubt.

Another member of the highly regarded Amazing Alice litter without an official mark on his card.  Has been showing super promise in his rearing and schooling to date and is fully expected to make into a very nice type.  On the day trial will be of extreme interest but looks another well bred type that many will be keen to add to their strings for the year ahead.

Super unraced puppy prospect from the Sean Conway ‘School Of Excellence’.  Dam Ballymac Notoyou was a super open racer on the track in her own right but being a daughter of the super brood Ballymac Razl she is obviously very closely related to a whole host of open and competition class superstars.  Immuned has just the sole trial on his card to date which came when recording 1942 at Shelbourne Park.  A super run from one so young and looks sure to be making his mark in some good class races before too long. *UPDATE Trial winner at Shelbourne on Saturday by fully 8 lengths in 1948.

Not a mark on the card of this September 2022 son of Droopys Guide a daughter of the super brood Droopys Rhiona who was kept specifically for breeding.  Syd has been showing up well in the paddocks for quite some time and word has it that his schooling trials have been nothing short of sensational.  Bound to improve dramatically for whatever he does on sales day but is one that all those with a keen eye for class will be looking to add to their kennels.

Unraced son of Flaming Sahara who has been pleasing the team back at the Kennedy establishment with some eye-catching schooling trials.  The only member of this litter to race thus far has been Miss Syd and she is already a two time open race victor around Crayford.

Just the one trial on the card of this unraced bitch pups card where she posted 1959 around Shelbourne Park.  Plenty to come from this young lady and won’t be seen to best effect until much later this year and beyond.

Unraced dog pup from the maiden litter of Ballyhimikin Hun who raced high grade on the track.  Really caught the eye with a very decent 2942 effort at Youghal in what is so far the only four bend trial of his life.

Hugely exciting unraced puppy prospect from the super brood Sizzling Daisy.  Stop Playing is therefore a half sibling to many open and competition class greyhounds including Off The Pitch the 2022 Islandbridge Sprint Open winner at Shelbourne Park who finished third in the Juvenile Derby of the previous year and UK open racing star Look Like Power who won a multitude of opens and of course reached many finals including that of the Derby Plate in 2020.  Stop Playing has been showing plenty of potential at home and is fully expected to make into a real nice type.

Stunning unraced blue pup out of the open race producing dam Kilgowan Honey.  Has made a terrific start to life on the track with a series of impressive trials including a 2944 effort over four bends at Kilkenny. *UPDATE Made career debut at Drumbo Park on Saturday finishing second behind an 1846 winner.

Unraced bitch pup out of the open race producing dam Melodys Shiny who of course is a full sister to the Irish Derby Champion of 2019 Lenson Bocko.  Just the sole trial on the card of Coco to date and it was a winning effort when beating off her sole rival by 2 ½ lengths in 1960 at Galway.  Huge promise both for her racing career and a brood career further down the line looks extremely likely.

Just three races on the card of this youngster and already a race winner when clocking 1858 at Drumbo Park.  Looks sure to be ideally suited to the likes of sales venue Romford where his nice early is sure to prove of great benefit.

Unraced full brother to Farmlodge Robert who has a couple of sprint trials on the card at Shelbourne Park.  Another that should be well suited to the Romford circuit and should prove a welcome addition to any graded kennel where he is sure to pay his way as he improves through the grades.

Top class unraced puppy prospect from Team Guilfoyle out of the 2021 Irish Cesarewitch Champion Amazing Alice.  Bred to be special Gianna looks to hold every chance of a top class track career if her wide margin trial victory around Thurles in 1808 is anything to go by.  That’s so far the only mark on this young lady’s card and she could be very special on the track indeed but further down the line could well become a top brood in her own right.

Unraced full brother to Gianna detailed above and not a mark on his card.  Word from the kennel is that this lad has been showing super promise both during his rearing and schooling and very much looks an exciting prospect for whoever is lucky enough to land him on sales day. *UPDATE Had the first official trial of his life at Shelbourne Park on Saturday and posted 1911 in beating off his sole rival by fully 10 lengths.  Marks him out as a top class prospect.

Lightly raced Good News bitch pup who has shown a moderate level of form in her races to date but can only improve and looks sure to progress into being a reliable grader.

Young dog pup out of Sporting Riviera who is a well proven producer of high grade and open class offspring.  Jerico has two trials on the card with an initial 2987 at Tralee being followed up with a 2982 at Clonmel.  Nice stamp of a pup who should improve and looks sure to go through the grades at whichever track he ends up.

Not a single mark on the card of this stunning white and black youngster out of Flaming Sahara but word from the Kennedy team is that he has been showing nice pace at home both during his rearing and his initial schooling trials.  Once again the only pup from this litter to race thus far is Miss Syd and she is already a two time open winner at Crayford.  One to keep an eye on for sure.

Blue dog pup out of Good Diva who is a full sister to amongst other stars Freedom Epic the 2021 winner of the Tipperary Cup around Thurles.  Diva herself ran out a super winner of the Newbridge Unraced Stake that year and this maiden litter to Broadstrand Bono have been showcasing during rearing and schooling that they should soon be making their mark in their own right.

Unraced September 2022 whelp out of the open race producing dam Droopys Lullaby.  Very much in need of the experience on his only trial start to date at Limerick and will learn much for a few more runs.  Reared and schooled to perfection this likeable youngster has his whole career ahead of him.

Just one trial on the card of this unraced daughter of Droopys Dignity who of course is a full sister to Droopys Addition who was a superstar on the track and is fast become one off it as a stud dog in his own right.  Breeding to die for and this lady will be of as much interest for her bloodlines as she will for her potential track ability.

The saying goes save the best until last and could this unraced son of Droopys Charm fit that bill perfectly.  The Droopys team know a good pup when they see one and the word is that this youngster has class written all over him.  Full sister to Rarity is Droopys Eunice who is already an open race winner at Romford.  Don’t miss this lad trialling and be sure to keep all eyes on the sale until the very last moment as the opportunity to purchase a youngster of this potential is surely not to be missed.

Not a mark on the card of this sensationally bred son of the sensational Droopys Curio.  A superstar on the track Curio’s maiden litter to Laughil Blake included the magnificent Droopys Flytline a superb winner of the 2023 Juvenile Derby at Shelbourne Park.  Highly regarded by the team at Droopys stud and though he likely won’t come cheaply class rarely does.

Not a mark on the card of this well regarded son of Royston News who has been reared and schooled immaculately by the Kennedy team.

Nicely bred brindle bitch from the McCusker team who provide many good class winners to the UK circuit.

Just the one moderate enough trial on the card to date when recording 3087 at Clonmel however dam Palace Queen usually throws a fair standard of greyhound so every reason to believe there is plenty left in the locker.

Another from team McCusker who has been showing plenty at home and expected to make into a nice type in time.
