Ballydoyle Honey can land her fourth big competition of the year in the Billy Mulvaney Snr & Jnr Memorial 600 Final at Shelbourne Park on Saturday.
Graham Holland’s Sporting Press Oaks winner was also successful in the Clonmel Open Unraced Stake and the Puppy Oaks and this competition looks at her mercy after she clocked the fastest time in last week’s semi-finals when giving a start and a beating to litter sister Samiya in 32.10sec.
She is the only wide seed in the line-up and can be up there from the start and assert from halfway.
Laughil Duke looks the main threat. Pat Guilfoyle’s runner set a new track record of 31.91sec in the heats when narrowly holding Ballydoyle Honey by a head before beaten at shorts odds last week but has a tricky trap five to overcome.
Honey’s litter sister Samiya is the other big runner. She was three and a half lengths behind her sister last week but has a decent trap one draw.
Highview Apollo is a non-runner while Blenheim Cracker, a 25-1 winner last week and Tynwald Rodney, clocked the fastest time in the Scottish Derby heats, complete the line-up.
