Christy Gillespie so sadly lost his battle with illness recently and will be universally missed by so many people in the greyhound world. Christy would regularly be seen across Ireland and the UK working alongside transporters Lennie McKinnie and Aiden McAllister and will be much missed by his many friends on either side of the Irish sea.
Damian Matthews chairman of the Irish Greyhound Owners & Breeders Federation said “I was saddened to hear of the loss of Christy Gillespie who was highly respected amongst the greyhound racing community and as nice a man as you will find. I pass on my sincere condolences to all of Christy’s family and friends at what is an incredibly sad time”.
