The very first sale for new company Premier Greyhound Sales passed very smoothly and sales organiser Nathan Corden was delighted with how the day went.

Corden said “There was a good crowd in at the track to watch the trials in the morning and the sales ring proved to be lively during the auction. A big thanks to Crayford who were extremely efficient and ensured the day went to plan.”

In total 51 of the 54 advertised lots arrived at Crayford on the morning for the sales trials and fastest of the day was MISS SYD (a July 22 daughter of Flaming Sahara by Knocknaboul Syd from the Kennedy Greyhounds kennel) who was purchased for the kennel of Ricky Holloway.  Other notable performances on the day included EPIC PRINCESS (a July 22 daughter of Royston News by Ice On Fire) which will remain at Crayford in the Luckhurst kennel, GOOD STREAK (a May 22 son of Jaytee Sahara by Good Cody) who clocked 23.70 and joins the Paul Vincent ranks plus YAHOO TIMMY (a May 22 son of Geelo Gold Dust by Droopys Sydney) who clocked 23.73 and joins the kennels of Tom Levers. Another eye catcher was FLIGHTY in her trial and she was popular at the auction and subsequently the winning bid will see her continue her career at Romford under the care of Jean Liles.

The turnover on the day was £73,825 and with 45 of the 51 lots sold (88%) that gives an average price of £1,640 per greyhound sold.  Top lot of the day was £6,600 and no surprise that was the fastest of the day Miss Syd.

Corden continued “I was really happy with the first PGS sale overall and we now start planning for the next PGS sale which will be on Monday 6th November at Hove.  People can follow the new company on Twitter by searching for @PremGreySales as well as following us on Facebook at Premier Greyhound Sales.”
