The big news story of the Bresbet East Anglian Derby second round heats was the defeat of 1-4f Coolavanny Shado by Seamus Cahill’s 18-1 shot Carols Legacy.
Slowly away, Shado showed tremendous pace to motor up on the inside before knocking over the unfortunate Zari Rosie. He recovered from third to pursue Legacy but had run his race by the last bend and was fading on the run-in. Legacy’s kennelmate Derrinasafa Boss made it through to the semi finals though a third kennelmate Blastoff Mason was eliminated.
The fourth member of the team, Drahan Jet followed home Hopes Paddington in the last qualifier.
The draw for the semi finals will take place on Monday
