Darren Golightly’s Burnfoot Alpha turned in the fastest performance in Friday’s trial session in preparation for the Category Two Pinpoint Recruitment Trophy, which starts at Pelaw Grange on Sunday, August 2.
The dog, a winner at Sunderland’s Festival finals’ night, produced a calculated 25.71 on going -20 for the 435 metres, while Myway Mars, a recent addition to Peter Ancell’s kennel went round in 25.93 and Jimmy Wright’s Droopys Alessio stopped the clock on 26.00.
