Hove have introduced a novel new idea which should create plenty of interest among the owners and kennel staff:
“The last Saturday and first Saturday of each month each trainer will be given a trophy race to name how they see fit.
“They can name them after their kennels, birthdays for staff or owners , kennel syndicates etc. For example, Cahill Racing Kennels – Seamus Cahill or Patrick Browne’s 40th Birthday Stakes. The said trainer will then need to send a kennel representative to present the trophy. This can be the trainer, kennellhand or owner and makes the presentation busier and looks better. This Saturday we have races available and would like a name for this weekend for the following three trainers.”
