Newcastle boss Ian Walton was thrilled to see 55 runners entered for the Arena Racing Company All England Cup which gets underway on Tuesday.
He said: “Trainers have responded magnificently and I think it is a testament to the prestige in which the event is still held to see it so well supported. The racing office are still sorting out the runners and I apologise in advance to connections of the 19 greyhounds who won’t get a run.”
