Star Sports Puppy Derby winner Surprising is injured and may miss the Ladbrokes Puppy Derby.
Trainer and breeder Seamus Cahill said: “When we stopped on the way home, he didn’t seem quite right on it but I didn’t want to say anything until we had had it checked out.
“The good news is that it is only a sprain to the left front wrist. I was fearing the worst, and he will be off for a couple of months. He should be fine though it may affect his preparation for Monmore. Having said that, you look around at the current situation and who is to say where we will be at that time anyway.”
