Suuupa Sam Linley leads the Sunderland trio and was a neck away from pulling off another spectacular double. Instead, he has his first losing night of the month -£5. George Stark was another ‘nearly’ punter, a short priced winner, plus a second, for a £13.08 profit. Graham Strike went big on the wrong one and lost £51.54.
Still – could be worse – black and white stripes worse!
At Yarmouth, BB Hughes built on an account already healthily in the blue – +£95. As for The Cash Machine (-£20) and Sensible Dave (-£100), you are both in the relegation zone!
NEWCASTLE
Just because you are a great footballer, doesn’t make you a great manager. I wonder what they say about greyhound trainers? Geordie Jimmy Fenwick (-£203.39), Jock Jimmy Wright (-£399.90), Steve (-£100) Anderson (-350, would probably have been worse, but he’s been a non-runner twice!).
So what do you want to do when you leave school young man? Be a bookie at Newcastle sir.

Bower Turbo (R7 T4) Eye catching in defeat last week (rough ride over the 480 trip). A repeat of his 40.54 over the 6 bends could very well win this. £30 win
Dominican Bob (R9 T1) had just the one previous run over the 660 where he did a calculated 41.04, that in itself would be very competitive in this but I think he could do a calculated 40.80-ish if things fall into place. £30 win £10 treble.
Fancy Trend (R4 T4) She was A1 at Belle Vue and won an open race over 500m at Nottingham before lockdown. Has yet to show her abilities in races here but think she has a chance to do so tonight. £30 win
Stonepark Sky (R10 T1) Was in trouble early on in the race last week but was still only beaten 4 lengths, I think he’s a better dog when he gets trap 1 (1 win from 1 run) and there’s not much pace in the race so he could get into a handy position early on. £40 win
Robert Short
Desert Crisis (R3 T1) £70 win
Drahbeg Dart (R6 T6) £30 win
