Sometimes a photo can show you more than a video – as Steve Nash’s shot taken of the final jump in the 2020 Cearnsport Springbok Final clearly shows.
Bockos Rory (T1) had been the first to dominate, but without ever shrugging off the challenge of Lee Field’s favourite Burgess Doc (T6).
But as they cleared the last bend, Ricky Holloway’s Normansland Flyer (T3) became a serious player. But at the final jump, Flyer hesitated, tangled with Forest Capri and stumbled.
Burgess Doc held on to win by a length in 30.06 (-30) with Flyer back in third.
