Two years ago Hazel Kemp sent out the Boxing Day Marathon runner-up Slippy Maska. A year ago, Hazel landed the final with Slippy Maggie. On Thursday afternoon, it was the turn of Maska’s half sister Micks Little Gem (Superior Product-Mays Maska, Jul 17) , trained by Hazel’s daughter Michelle Brown, to take the £2,500 and she did it with some style.
The 4-9 favourite dominated from the start and pulled away to win by 14 lengths in the third fastest decider ever over course and distance.
