Ruth Rogers
It is with great sadness that we report the death of photographer Ruth Rogers.
Ruth made he name as the foremost Irish greyhound photographer during the 1970s-80s. Her father was a successful Meath based horse trader and Ruth inherited his love of equines and canines.
She became a hardworking and trusted IGB board member, during what was possibly the greatest period of the organisation, under the chairmanship of Paschal Taggart. She was also highly regarded for her photos in the Irish equestrian world.
Steve Nash and I were regular guests at Ruth’s home during numerous Irish Derbys and spent many small hours talking dogs (and them talking photography).
A lovely, kind and generous lady. Sadly missed
