A first appearance for Pelaw Grange, the TV trophy at Towcester and a Greyhound Premier League at the same track are among the surprises in the BAGS backed SKY fixtures for the second half of the year.
The cameras are off to Durham for the first time as the McKenna family celebrates a 50 year association with the track and Pinpoint are picking up the tab as event sponsor for the main event on August 11.
The cameras were on hand when Towcester had its official opening and they will return for the TV Trophy on August 18.
They will be back again in December for the culmination of the £74,000 Premier League competition supported by two £5,000 Anglo-Irish events.
British breeding supporters will be delighted to see their big stake broadcast from Nottingham on October 27. There is also a new ‘Double Header’ competition at Crayford in November.
BAGS Scott Harvey said: ““Greyhound racing fans have never had it so good. It is the best second half coverage we have had by far, and represents the most fixtures ever screened by Sky Sports in a year.”
