Monmore’s recent charity nights raised £1,650 for the local home finders.
With 15 sponsored races, the event was extended over two evenings, June 28th and 30th. Each kennel paraded an ex-racer prior to the sponsored races.
Monmore Green Owners Association Chairman Kieron Dawson said ‘It was a fantastic two nights worth of racing with so much money being raised for the Greyhound Trust Wolverhampton. We would normally also hold a raffle, though that will be done later in the year.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all owners and trainers that sponsored races for such a worthy cause and of course the track and racing office staff for all their hard work.”
