On Sunday week, 29th July, 13 cyclists will represent The Greyhound Trust in Ride London 100, the two wheeled version of the London Marathon.

Last year the team, aided by the generosity of all sponsors, raised £ 14,000 a figure they will aim for in this years event.

The team comprises a mixture of owners of racing greyhounds, retired greyhounds and some working in the industry.

There are 5 individuals cyclists riding the full 100 mile course including Romford trainer Martyn ‘Mr.Superfit’ Wiley, which starts at The Olympic Stadium, takes in The Surrey Hills before heading back into London to finish at The Mall.

There are two Peleton teams, of 4 riders and are headed by trophy supplier & owner Mark Burridge and Roy Beckerson doing the full 100 miles, with Hannah Prince (Head Girl for Gerry Ballentine and RPGTV) and Paul Illingworth (GBGB) bravely taking on the 75 mile distance with little training.

The 50 mile team slots see the indefatigable Paul Millward (BAGS website & RPGTV) stepping up in distance from last year, together with owner Liz Mazey.

Both teams will collect riders Michael Evans and Markel Arkell (Romford) for the final leg.

As before the team are looking for sponsors, with all monies going to Greyhound Trust, to help the greys find their forever homes
