Millridge Rosco made a great return from injury at Pelaw Grange on Friday. Bought out of Ireland by owner-trainer Ken Kennedy last summer, the dog made a very promising start to his career at Drum Road in August, winning an A3 and then an A2.
Unfortunately on his third effort, which was in an A1, he was in trouble at the first turn and broke a metatarsal. His trainer showed a lot of patience in bringing him back and that paid off when he made his comeback in an A4, led from the first turn and held on for a neck success.
Kennedy says: “I was just looking to get him back with three easy runs without bumps to ease him back, so this was really good. I am keeping my fingers crossed now as I think that he is the best that I have got.”
