Kennelmates Ballyregan Jimmy (Tullymurry Act-Black Hopit, Nov 14) and Huarache Scotty finished within a head of each other in a supporting 515 open with Jimmy (9-4) prevailing in 30.05 (N).
The treble came courtesy of another photo with Drumcrow Darcy (Aero Majestic-Drumcrow Ellie, Apr 15) ‘necking’ Hes Easy in 301.4.
The performance of the night came from Bubbly Bluebird’s half brother Droopys Opah (Droopys Jet-Broadstrand Xola, Oct 15) with a 29.93 (N) win in the 515m maiden final.
Track champion Beaming For You (Tullymurry Act-Beaming Olive, Nov 14) came to the mercy of the bruised and battered punters at Belle Vue on Thursday.
The John Walton trained 7-4 favourite completed a local four-timer with a 28.08 (-30) open win over the standard, in the last of the six opens.
It followed a series of results which saw wins for Cotton Rambler (14-1), Bad Blood (16-1) and Quicksilvajorja (10-1). The performance of the night probably belonged to puppy Axel Eight (Zero Ten-Billys Hope, Sep 15) who won his second UK race in 28.26 (-20).
At MONMORE, La Brava (Head Bound-Callura Lark, Apr 14) added further weight to his claim as track champion by landing a second 480m open in fine style. Last week Paul Sallis’ runner clocked 28.27 (-30), this week his winning time was 28.37 on going rated (-40). The 630 went to Barry Denby’s Nottingham raider Artistic Dawn (Roxholme Bully-Gaining Respect, May 15) with a 38.45 (-30) run.
