GRA have announced that Wimbledon is to close on March 25 – should the track be viable to continue until then.
Staff have been informed of the closure.
The Star understands that CEO Clive Feltham has been engaged in talks to secure a venue for the English Derby for some months, but was unable to proceed prior to being given notice to quit Plough Lane by owners Galliard Homes.
