With the full list of entries already published, there will be as much interest in the list of 34 Derby reserves as there will in those accepted for the 96.
However given the experience of previous years, it is highly likely that a decent percentage of those on standby will actually take part. Last year – admittedly with a bigger field, all 19 reserves were eventually invited take part yet further late withdrawals saw a number of first round heats start with vacant traps.
Of those accepted there are 59 railers, 22 middle seeds and 15 wides
