A successful first track sale of 2023 for Greyhound Trader which saw 98% of greyhounds sell for an overall turnover of over £76,000!
Taking the headlines was Easy To Earn, who fetched £9200 after his impressive 29.44 trial win. The Oct’21 son of Pestana and Lear Avajo, will join the kennels of Keith Robins (attached to Suffolk Downs) and could mount a challenge at both the upcoming £20,000 Premier Greyhound Racing Monmore Puppy Derby and £10,000 Steel City Puppy Derby at Sheffield.
Also attracting plenty of interest was Good Kardashian who sold to Newcastle trainer Savva Roberts for £6800. A full-sister to Explosive Boy, she clocked the fastest time of the day in 29.33 after having to come from behind her trial companion Amazing Sasha (£3600) to get up just before the line. Whilst a career over 6-bends in Open company beckons, she will also prove to be a useful breeding prospect in the future.
Other notable sales on the day included Droopys Rookie (£3000) and Easy Chance (£4600).
Total sales calculated £76,050 for the day where 48/49 greyhounds found new homes in the UK. Due to a huge number of sales entries, Greyhound Trader’s next sale will be an additional one at Oxford on Wednesday February 1st.
