There are 47 lots due to go to the bench at Wimbledon Sale on May 5.
While there may not be as many ‘Derby dogs’ as sales promoter Brian Harrison was first hoping for, there appear to be a lot of decent young hounds.
Harrison said: “We’ve got seasoned dogs like Global Chariot who has been running in decent company, and a couple of others with very good Waterford form. But we ended up with a lot more pups that I was anticipating. You can’t expect flashy times with 17 and 18 month old pups, but they are unexposed and there are some really interesting prospects among them.”
