Henlow racing manager Paul Mellor can see no further than Aero Babooshka for next Sunday’s Mini Derby Final.
The Mark Wallis trained black won the fastest semi final in 25.87 (-20) though it was the style, as much as the time that impressed Mellor.
He said: “When she broke the track record (25.53), she did it from the front. This time she came through her field giving Evanta Fantasy a start and a beating. It was a very good run and she looks ideally placed in one again. I can’t see her being beaten on everything I have seen so far.”
Jason Bloomfield’s Diego Force also remains unbeaten having won his semi in 25.91 (-20) from Savana Miesque. Kennelmate Savana Mark won the third qualifier in 26.15 on similar going.
