Five members of Swift Erin’s remarkable litter by Makeshift dominated the 2015 Open Race Dam of the Year title writes Floyd Amphlett.
The Fab Five: Swift Hoffman, Domino Storm, You Never Listen, My Real Mutley and Swift Kidman, supported by two ‘Godsends’ Ribble Atom and Swift Leonard, racked up 61 victories including three ‘Cat 1s’.
It was another very good year for the self-exiled Geordie breeder Ian Greaves who also had Swift Eva (Blonde Razor, Swift Curie, Old Fort Cracker) and Swift Fanta in the top ten.
Sean and Michael Dunphy’s ‘Droopys’ range were also heavily to the fore thanks to Droopys Solange (Aimnfire, Droopys Tamera, Millwards Teddy), and Droopys Start (Billys Bullet, Touch Tackle, Droopys Alberta).
