Bubbly Bluebird produced a performance good enough to win an East Anglian Derby on his first visit to Yarmouth on Wednesday night.
Contesting his first race since his defeat at Nottingham in the Select, the blue clocked a stunning 5.29 sectional on his way to a 462m time of 27.43 (+20).
The fastest race time of the year is Cill Dubh Park’s 27.65, and the fastest clocking in 2016 was 27.51 by Badabing. East Anglian Derby winner Do It For Twiggy’s recorded the fastest time the previous year, 27.42 (+10).
The year’s Sunbets 71st East Anglian Derby gets underway on Wednesday September 6.
