On Tuesday 48 graded runners from 15 different kennels, will go to traps for the first round of the £10,000 to winner of the Towcester Welfare Group Derby.
Sponsored by Stress Relief UK Ltd., the event is for graded runners and starts next Tuesday. It will be open to runners who have not broken 28.80 for the 480m trip, which means it is largely dominated by A7 performers with a few A6 and A9 runners.
The event was designed to compensate graded runners who were unable to race during the Star Sports English Derby. The final night – September 2 – features an additional 12 races all sponsored with proceeds going to Towcester Welfare
