Outstanding brood Droopys Solange leads the open race dams table tracing back to 2010 with 153 wins.

Sean Dunphy’s Droopys Solange (Blackstone Gene-Droopys Sporty) has produced open winners in seven of her eight litters. The most productive was her second litter, a re-mating with Westmead Hawk that produced Millwards Teddy, Droopys’ Gigi, Tamera, and Lucinda, plus a couple from the Irish raider Droopys Nidge.

The two Hawk litters won won 71 of the total over an average distance of 646m. The two Central City litters which featured Droopys Brindle and Aimnfire won 43 races over an average of 417m. The remainder were made up with litters by Aero Majestic (364m), Greenwell Hawk (524m), and Tullymurry Act (403m). The eighth litter of two pups whelped in Jan ’17 includes Central Park youngster Droopys Sive.

Solange’s dam line traces back three generations to the Dunphy’s great brood Droopys Fergie.

Ian Greaves’ Swift Erin (Kinloch Brae-Great Madam) was just one winner behind but won more prize money. 116 of Erin’s 151 winners came from the same litter by Makeshift. Seven of the litter, headed by Swift Hoffman and Domino Storm won over an average of 469m. The numbers were boosted with litters by Godsend (785m), Paradise Madison (547m) and Vans Escalade (440m). Erin is a grand daughter of Greaves great brood Clodeen Magic.

Liam Dowling’s Ballymac Floss (Toms The Best-Blonde Returns) produced nine litters in total. The most prolific were by Black Shaw and Royal Impact with 34 wins each. However her most notably offspring was probably Ballymac William. Interestingly, of the eight litters studied, by different sires, their average winning distance was between 480-645m.
