Wiki Waki Woo (as tipped by Jason Craddock earlier today) was a 6-1 winner of the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket Final over 714 metres at Crayford.

Angie Kibble’s runner flew out of the traps from four and just made the turn in front of strong stayer Bubbly Time.

The Champagne Club must have been thinking it was only a matter of time before their runner picked up the leader but Wiki Waki Woo kept on to score by a length in 44.99sec.

Kibble said afterwards: “She’s a good bitch. She trapped better from the middle and did what she had to do and get on the bunny.

“She ran the track really well tonight and it’s great to win a race like the Golden Jacket.”

Johnathon Miles, the winning owner said: “I bought her off the late Dessie Loughery at the age of six weeks. Angie reared her and is brilliant to see her come through and win a big race.

“We named her after looking at a list of cocktails.”

Jetstream Reason got the better of a battle with Con Te Partiro to land the Ladbroke Sprint Hurdle over 380 metres.

Steve Gammon’s runner challenged early but was passed by the more fluent jumping Con Te Partiro, who led until the third turn.

Jetstream Reason (5-2) went on again but had to battle to hold his rival by a short head in 23.77sec.

Gammon said: “He did well for us last year and hopefully he will have another decent season.”

Borna Champ (11-4) came from last to first to land the Ladbrokes Stayers Stakes over 714 metres.

The pace was set by Kakantu out wide after the favourite Droopys Bear missed the kick.

However his stride started to shorten on the second lap and Borna Champ came flying through to score by just under two lengths in 45.42sec.

Connections said afterwards: “He won the Kent St Leger here last year and did well to come from last to first like that.”

Sidarian Blitz (6-4) landed the Tony Morris Memorial Trophy over 540 metres.

Heather Dimmock’s dog was led early by Never Mind Eh but hit the front off the third turn to hold the spirited late flourish of Mos Bullet by a neck in 33.85sec.

Headman Mick Pacey said afterwards: “The dog ran well last week without a trial. He ran off at the second turn tonight but handled it much better.

“Ideally he needs a bigger track and will run at Wimbledon next week before we think about the Scottish Derby at Shawfield.”

Market Heights landed the Ladbrokes Marathon over 874 metres when hitting the front at the penultimate turn and going on to beat the pace-making Newinn Echo by just over six lengths in 56.81sec.

Winning trainer Jason Foster said: “He is owned by the same owners as Storm Pockets, who has broken in season and will be mated shortly, and will reappear on the Juvenile / Springbok card at Wimbledon next week.”

Soviet Military was a most fortunate winner of the scrappy Chief Ramsbottom Hurdle over 540 metres.

The favourite Never Doubt Me missed the kick but moved up to dispute the lead before Newinn Hawk attacked him and took half the field with him. Soviet Military came through up the inside to beat Newinn Hawk in 35.23sec.

Mark Wallis landed his fourth successive Peter Bussey Memorial Trophy over 540 metres with Jimmy Nailed On.

Castlelyons Sevi led until the fourth turn but couldn’t hold the late challenge of Jimmy Nailed On, who scored by almost four lengths in 33.50sec.

Wallis said: “I don’t know what it is about this race but we keep winning it. We laid the dog off for a month and it seems to have done the track as he ran a great race.”

Supreme Rossie made just about all the running in the Ladbrokes 1048.

Stuart Buckland’s runner held off the late flourish of Musical Fawn by a length and three quarters in 69.42sec.

The owner quipped: “We’ll take her to Cheltenham next and run her over three miles!”

EARLIER

Take a chance with WIKI WAKI WOO (4) in the final of the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket over 714 metres at Crayford tonight, which is live on Sky Sports.

Angie Kibble’s runner, who was third in the Prestige is capable of a ping break and if pinching an early lead could take some catching with the three railers on her inside set to do each other no favours.

The hot favourite is Racenight Jenny, who set the standard in the heats with 45.48sec and is drawn trap one.

She was very impressive last week when coming from last to first to beat Wiki Waki Woo in 45.36sec.

A decent break from the inside berth will make her very difficult to beat, however if not getting her timing right then she could suffer as neighbouring Black Francis and Bubbly Time will be making a beeline for the fence.

Black Francis was a fortunate winner of his semi-final when Roxholme Dream got put out of the race but he’s won four of his last six and would be hard to catch if finding himself in front early.

Marathon runner Bubbly Time surprised many when taking an early lead in last week’s semi-finals to post a fastest of the round 45.09sec.

However that was from trap one and this rail hugger now finds herself in three. She will be finishing best of all but may not enjoy the same clean early run here.

Paul Young is double handed in the event with Millwards Amy and Malls Pride.

Millward’s Amy was in the Kent St Leger final back in November but has yet to sparkle so far on her return.

Malls Pride has improved as the event has gone on. She made eye-catching late progress last week and is the only wide seed so could run into a place.

JETSTREAM REASON (3) is fancied to take the opening Ladbrokes Sprint Hurdle over 380 metres at 7.11.

Steve Gammon’s Irish Grand National winner stumbled badly after leaving traps last week but has previously shone in trials clocking 23.50sec over sticks and 23.27sec on the flat.

He is fancied to quickly assume command and account for main danger Con Te Partiro.

BORNA CHAMP (1) and Droopys Bear look set to dominate the Ladbrokes Stayers Stakes over 714 metres at 7.26.

Droopys Bear is the favourite and did win a heat of the Golden Jacket after an impressive trial stakes win, in which he beat Borna Champ.

However this short runner is dependent on an early lead, which isn’t guaranteed with Fort Hill Storm on his inner, so Borna Champ, the Kent St Leger winner here last autumn and only railer in the race, is fancied to come through late to land the spoils.

SIARIAN BLITZ (5) could be the best bet on the card in the Tony Morris Memorial over 540 metres at 7.43.

On any other track Heather Dimmock’s runner would be huge odds on to beat these rivals.

The powerful blue performed well in last week’s Peter Bussey Memorial heats after a slow start and is fancied to soon be calling the shots.

The well-drawn Bru Brae could be the main danger.

PAINTED CRAFT (1) is given a narrow vote in the Ladbrokes Marathon over 874 metres at 7.59.

Gemma Davidson’s has been noted as running on strongly over 714 metres here and has a good pitch on the fence to turn in a handy position.

Newinn Echo and Toosey Beannie are both capable of taking a flyer, while Market Heights tends to find the trouble spots.

NEVER DOUBT ME (3) will be hard to beat in the Chief Ramsbottom hurdle at 8.16.

Jim Reynold’s dog has won his last four races over sticks here, beating all these rivals at some time in the process.

Soviet Military hasn’t won for some time but looks the forecast link.

A case can be made for most of the runners in the Peter Bussey Memorial over 540 metres at 8.33.

Castlelyons Sevi is going for a five-timer but is far from the fastest in the race.

Phat Mary is a bitch in form having won her last two since returning from season and is not easily overlooked.

However preference is given to FARNEYS COOKIE (4), who was the fastest heat winner and is the strongest in the race given a clean run through.

Take a chance with ROWFOLDS EMMA (6) in the four-runner Ladbrokes 1048 at 8.51.

Wendy Short’s bitch landed a Hove marathon on Sky in the summer over 930 metres and has chance of leading up here.

Supreme Rossie would be in a different class if bringing her A-game but has been out of sorts, while track record holder Musical Fawn hasn’t won since August and has only recently returned from a long lay-off.
