Craig Perry’s runner flew out of the boxes and was soon well clear to beat Coolavanny Grace by three lengths in 17.53sec (+20).

Spikes Hope made it five wins from six races in the second qualifier.

Gerry Ballentine’s runner was soon clear and went on to beat Cape Impact by a length and a half in 17.83sec.

Local runner Glencroft Bolt justified favouritism in the Betfred TV Maiden Standard Final over 500 metres.

Peter Holland’s runner came through strongly to lead off the last turn and see off Newinn Damo by two and a half lengths in 29.97sec.

Droopys Fellaini went much quicker when landing the Lady Christine Trophy over 500 metres.

Alec Stone’s runner led from the opening turn and went on to beat Precious Freebie by six lengths in 29.64sec.

The other performance to catch the eye was from He Got Fame in the top Standard division.

Franny Lenton’s underrated runner landed his fourth win from five races when leading from the opening turn to slam Mottos Mixer by five lengths in 29.66sec.

In trials before racing, Alma Valentine clocked a fastest 29.71sec in a solo trial over 500 metres.

Dave Firmager’s Fabulous Landing beat kennelmate Fabulous Zita by two and a half lengths in 29.92sec.

Teds Last registered the best figures over 305 metres when beating Slick Skyfall by just over three lengths in 17.81sec.
