Sidarian Vega came out on top on the battle of the big guns in the semi-finals of the GMHD Insurances Juvenile classic over 525 yards at Tralee on Friday.

Graham Holland’s runner, the 6-4 joint favourite went on to beat Coolavanny Kerry by a length in 28.48sec.

Owen McKenna’s Farloe Rumble, the other joint favourite, was eliminated in sixth place.

Aguasantas overcame trap six in the second qualifier to beat Holland’s Hovex Prince by half a length in 28.89sec.
