Slippy Maska (Kinloch Brae-Mays Maska, Apr 15) was the sister supporting act on the CRAYFORD Ladbrokes Gold Collar card.

Hazel Kemp’s brindle, a comrade of Gold Collar winner Mayshighlandreel, produced a flawless performance to land the Ladbrokes Kent Cesarewitch. She went from trap two in the decider . . .

The winner’s time of 56.27 for the 874m was the third fastest recorded over course and distance and just 17 spots outside one of the best marathon clocks of recent years, held by Burgess Borna.

The £5,000 Guys And Dolls decider went to Arun Green’s Pure Placere (Superior Product-Pure Perception, Aug 15) who went from trap five in the 380m decider.

The winner was just four spots slower than his time recorded in the run-off, following a void semi, just three days earlier.

There were a string of other impressive performances on the night including a 44.76 run for Karlow Turbo over the 714m course – off a 22.97 sectional – and a 33.12 run, also inside the old 540 clock for Droopys Jester – off a 12.72 sectional.
