MILLWARDS JOKER – Seamus Cahill

We didn’t have anything suitable for this trip given we have put Chicago over the 708. He is a good dog over Romford’s 575 (35.21) but we know he really won’t see out this trip. At this stage I would settle for him getting into the first four.

AIRPORT CAPTAIN – Kevin Hutton

We thought long and hard about whether to run him but he is our only runner of this class. Everyone knows it is further than he needs but he has only ever been picked up once, by Millwards Teddy over 630 at Monmore. He will need to lead but we are hopeful more than confident.

DROOPYS WARD– Paul Young

He was a great dog for us last year finishing with the run in the Night Of Champions at Shelbourne Park. That 575 is the furthest he has been, though I think he will stay and the Sittingbourne 642 is quite an easy trip. I hope we can follow Airport Captain around the bend and then we will see. One of my big hopes for the night but then he will go back to four bends for the Derby.

BILLYS BULLET – Mark Wallis

In my opinion, Bullet and his brother Touch Tackle are probably the best two stayers in training at the moment. Unfortunately, Billy is my worst drawn dog of the meeting as a railer in trap four and a short run to the bend. I would fancy him to beat any of the other five in a two-runner race. I just hope he gets a clear run.

SWIFT SEVE – John Mullins

Doesn’t trap well and then has to come through his field and I would be intrigued to know what would happen if he trapped. He has lots of second places on his card, though I think that is more about coincidence. I would be happy enough if he finished second on Wednesday.

MILLWARDS TEDDY – Dean Childs

Teddy was our best dog last year but had a very long campaign which is why we left him off for so long and didn’t contest the Golden Jacket or Prestige. We didn’t know we would be get a late invite to run in this meeting which is why are runners are so far behind. Teddy is fit to race, but he is only 75% fit and will need at least six races to be back at his best.
