Thursday’s two £500 finals both resulted in surprise winners. The 695m maiden decider went to Matt Dartnall’s 12-1 shot Hedsor Misty (Me Buddy-Sadie Lady, Mar 15) in a moderate 42.28. While the 475m decider saw Jaytee Spartacus beaten in his third race back after 10 months on the sidelines. The prize went to Ballinclare Solo (Scolari Me Daddy-Ballinclare Meg, Nov 13) in 27.66 (N).
