With the Coral Sussex Cup due to close on July 17, the versatile Starring Storm (Tubbertelly Dubh-Saleen Kerry, Feb 14) showed why he (T1 5-2) is worthy of a place in the first round with a 29.71 (+10), near three length win over Stand Alone.

 

The Ladbrokes Gold and Summer Classic are just a month away and the early scouting parties began arriving at MONMORE on Thursday night.

On faster going than recent weeks, the outstanding performance came from Kevin Cobbold’s Corrin Mall (Mall Brandy-Corrin Queen, Sep 14) with a 28.15 run over the standard trip. The 7-4jf ran from trap five and would be followed home by The Other Ben (T6) in 28.15.

The run of the night over the Summer Classic 630m trip came from Paul Sallis’ striped jacketed Galactic Brae (Kinloch Brae-Atouchofvenus, Aug 14) with a four length 38.00 win over Skywayways (T2).
