Haliska Rubra (Blonde Snapper-Grayslands Swan, Jun 14) – with just two wins in his first 22 UK races, made it four wins in his last five at CENTRAL PARK on Sunday.

The Ken Tester trained runner went to traps at 5-2 in a very competitive 642m contest and was drawn in six. . . .

The winning distance over Mustang Swift (T1 2-1f) was three and a half lengths with the winning clocking the fastest time of the year over c&d – 39.71 (TR 39.44).

The eight open winners originated from four different tracks. The Hove raiding party also featured Jason Heath’s Street Lane (Droopys Scolari-Na Dubh Tire, Apr 14) with a 29.43 win and a third open win in a week for Seamus Cahill’s Jumerah (Maximus (Kinloch Brae-Jumerah Duchess, Mar 14) with a 16.34 run for the sprint.

Crayford’s Barry O’Sullivan picked up a 20-1 puppy double with Dow Jones (Head Bound-Full Of Beans, Nov 15) who clocked 29.34 and a fastest of night 29.01 for Angry Man (Superior Product-Angry Bird, Sep 15). Swindon’s Glideaway Bertie (40.18), and local pair Slippery Bert (40.52) and Kentish Master (29.08) completed the meeting.

 

Garryglass Teddy completed a four timer in a 550m open at HENLOW on Sunday. The Mark Wallis trained runner didn’t trap as well as previous occasions but led by the third bend and clocked the fastest time of the night 33.09. It was his sixth win in his last eight races over course and distance.

Other highlights of the meeting included a double for Corrin Price with Black Sea (428m-25.68) and Colmyard Rocket (277m-17.02) plus a FON for Westmead Rossi (Coolavanny Bert-Westmead Sula, Nov 13) with a 27.58 run.
