Angry Man (Superior Product-Angry Bird, Sep 15) showed complete concentration to continue his impressive progress at Central Park on Sunday.

Three weeks ago Barry O’Sullivan’s pup stopped chasing when spotting something at the last bend in an open race at the same track. His experienced handler was none too concerned and took the dog back a week later. The youngster duly did the business in 29.01 (N) for the 480m.

Beaten by Cappoquin Jack last week, the blue clocked the fastest time of the night on Sunday with a 29.10 run on going rated .20 slow.

The meeting also featured a 7-1 open race double for Frank Gray. First up was pup Baran Django (Yeah Man-Droopys Muriel, Oct 15) wh0 led at the turn and landed the 480m maiden in 29.13 (N). It was Django’s third win (A3, A2) in four races. An hour later on a wet track rated at .30 slow, Azza Boy (Crash-Benghazi Babe, Sep 14) covered the standard trip in 29.11.

Belstone Fox (Hondo Black-Perrys Lace, Sep 13) was the easiest winner of the night at a rain drenched Henlow on Sunday night.

Pam Dolby’s 4-7f, beaten twice over course and distance, was rated a 4-7f to land the final race of the night where the racing office guesstimated the going at -140. She was led to the third bend but then opened up a winning margin of 17 lengths to win in 44.26, a little over two seconds behind the fastest time of the year.

The soggy track would have offered few terrors for 550m open race winner Glenpadden Wood (Ace Hi Rumble-Glenpadden Bay, May 13) who was tackling the 428 trip for the first time. Carol Grasso’s former Sheffield top heat runner made it eight wins from his last ten Henlow outings with a very respectable 26.21 (-70).
