They are back – the four tipsters who made such hefty profits last time out.

Heading the list is ‘the trophy man’ – we refer to what his line of business, rather than any personal endorsement from his missus – Mark Burridge. The Brentford Bees fan, match commentator, and leader of the RGT peloton, made a profit of £372-50 from his imaginary £100 wad.

The cycling bandit Paul Millward, who claimed he could only manage 25K in the RGT ride, but then morphed into Chris Froome, weighed in with a £210 profit for Team Media.  Matt Hulmes, settled for a £156 profit, and would have collected a P45 had he shown off as much as The Trophy Man.

Last but certainly not least is the professional punter Mark Keightley, who doubled his money after spending just a few minutes studying form. For tonight’s card, he has a full preparation.

The rules remain unchanged – the placing of a fictional £100 on the SKY card, singles or multiples. We quote early prices, but make winning calculations based on SP.

Full form is below tips

MATT HULME (Betfred – bookmakers)

7:11 – Karlow Turbo: ran a cracker after first bend interference to be third to Russalena Reggie in the Betfred Select Stayers last week and can gain compensation back on home soil.

7.59 Blackstone Levi: clocked a good time on his last outing and if trapping quickly once more can gain an inside advantage with five wide seeds drawn on his outer who may get in each other’s way.

9:08 King Kid: Liz McNairs greyhound has a couple of lengths to find on Donation from there last meeting in the semi’s but the draw is reversed now and Kid has his favoured stripes berth. The form of his Derby Plate second was franked significantly by Dorota’s Wildcat  winning the Betfred Select Stakes and he can take this prize..

PUNTING: 3 x £20 win singles + £10 win trixie Karlow Turbo (13-8) Blackstone Levi (betting 3-1) King Kid (betting 3-1)

MARK BURRIDGE (Owner)

I expected to dine out on last weeks success for life and retire gracefully but no time to rest! A tough card on first glance and there’s only two choices for me.

7:11 – Karlow Turbo: ran a brilliant race behind Russelina Reggie at Nottingham last week.  Maireads Ivy and Meadow require longer distances and do show decent early but as long as  Karlow gets a run, the Turbo (sorry!) will kick in from third bend and I expect him to win easily.

8:16 – Ribble Atom: My best bet is Ribble Atom who beat Pacey Karnage (Tp2) in their last race. Lord Hesketh’s marathon star tends to favour a big gallop and this test of stamina will be just what she needs. New to this distance is interesting youngster Clares Kyletaun, who is a very pacy sort and is likely to lead going into the final circuit. It’s a match between these two but I’m expecting the Atom to power through late to take the spoils.

The Sussex Cup Final is a tough race, not one to bet on in my view, good luck to all connections on the night.

PUNTING: £30 win Karlow Turbo (13-8) , £50 win Ribble Atom (5-4), £20 win double

PAUL MILLWARD (Media)

9:11 – Donation: There are some exceptional youngsters around at the moment and Donation is right up there with the best of them. If she was a he, then you would not be seeing anything like the 2/1 on offer in a place this morning. It will be long gone come tonight’s Sussex Cup final.

Heather Dimmock’s bitch has only been beaten twice, on her debut and in that incredibly competitive Youngsters race on Derby final night – her other seven starts have resulted in wins in very good company.

Donation’s record at Hove is impeccable and the way she beat King Kid in the semis can leave nobody in doubt that she is a bitch with immense talent. The rest of the card had me scratching the head for too long and, while I have no eggs and have never owned a basket, it’s all in on this emerging star

PUNTING: £100 win single Donation (2-1)

MARK KEIGHTLEY (Trainer- assistant)

8.16 – Ribble Atom: Ribble Atom is another greyhound from the Wallis kennel that oozes class she is as reliable as clock work over extremes distances . Drawn where she wants to be she can prove too classy for up and coming trap six who maybe also held up by five in the exchanges anyway. Frustrating at times is Atom with her bend running but I take her to find a way to overcome that obstacle this evening. .

PUNTING: £100 win Ribble Atom (betting 5-4)
