Romford duly sailed into the final of the BAGS/SIS Track Championship – despite a moderate performance at Central Park – with a 35 points margin in the Southern region.

The Essex boys amassed a mere 24 points on a day when the hosts rattled up 80 points to take second place and give them themselves an outside chance to qualify as one of the two highest scoring second places.

The hosts picked up a double thanks to Brannig Boomboom (bitches) and Feora Sean (dogs). The juvenile went to Poole’s Stun Gun and the elite standard went to Crayford’s Mystical Charlie
