The Coral Regency Final next Wednesday looks absolute cracker when all the fancied runners got through from the semi-finals over 695 metres on Thursday.

Millwards Teddy (6-4f) looked back to his best when landing the opening semi-final.

Dean Childs’s runner was led until the third turn by Genie but he swept past to go on to score easily.

The battle was on for the runner-up and qualifying place and it eventually went to Market Heights, who just outstayed Droopys Flash near the line to finish just over four lengths behind the 41.55sec winner.

Swansalona Diva was another favourite to oblige in the second eliminator.

Kevin Hutton’s bitch was led to the third turn by Black Francis but went on to beat a staying on Droopys Cottage by almost two lengths in 41.44sec.

The fastest winner was Touch Tackle in the last eliminator.

Jim Daly’s runner, a 2-5 chance, made an uncharacteristic fast start and drew away from his rivals on the second lap.

He went on to beat Tybar Hondo, who just held the late challenge of Woodmancote Bert for second, by four and a half lengths in 41.07sec.
