Track specialist Oscar Junior (Droopys Oscar-Droopys Danneel, May 14) made a winning six bend debut at Doncaster on Monday night.

Charlie Lister’s runner, who has 27.35(c) form for 450m and 29.40(c) for the 483m trip, took an early lead but was forced to hold on to beat the owner trained by a length in 41.82. He duly moved into second place on the Doncaster open race winners table for the year.
